Justice Ministry on March 30 held a meeting of the research team for the 1992 Constitution amendment. Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien chaired the meeting. The research team under Ministry of Justice included 33 members headed by Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien; Deputy Minister Le Thanh Long worked as deputy head and the members were divided into 4 working groups.

On March 26, Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong received the delegation of newly-appointed overseas diplomats, including 19 new Ambassadors Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary and 6 Consul Generals. Congratulating the Ambassadors and Consul Generals, the Minister expressed the hope that the Ministry of Justice would continue to receive the support from Vietnam’s representative offices abroad.

On March 16, Ministry of Justice held a meeting with ambassadors, donors and representatives of international organisations about legal and judicial co-operation between Vietnam and foreign countries. Seminar commenting the draft law on grassroot conciliation

Within the scope of cooperation between Ministry of Justice and Judicial Development and Grassroots Development Project (JUDGE Project) of the Canadian Government's International Development Agency (CIDA), the seminar commenting the draft law on grassroot conciliation was held on March 16 in Danang city. Deputy Minister Nguyen Thuy Hien, Deputy Head of compilation committee for law on grassroot conciliation, attended and chaired the seminar.

At the second meeting of the NA Committee for drafting amendments to the 1992 Constitution on February 21, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said that the amendments to the 1992 Constitution took place in the context the entire Party, people and the army were trying to implement the resolution of the 11th National Congress of the Communist Party, promote the rennovation process to meet the country's current development needs, forecast global and regional trends, perfect the basic law to serve the common cause of the whole country and people as well as comply with the resolution passed by the 11th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
