Selecting the typical lawyers and law firms for 2012Vice Minister of Justice Nguyen Thuy Hien on February 21 chaired the Conference deploying the Project on voting the 2012 typical lawyers and law firm with the participation of the selection Board, including representatives from Department of Judicial Support ( under Ministry of Justice), Vietnam Bar Association, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, Vietnam Lawyers’ Association, Ha Noi Bar Association, HCM City Bar Association and Vietnam Law Newspaper.The vote was conducted by scoring method on the basis of comparingthe profile of the lawyers practicing organizations and lawyers with the criteria in the Regulations. From February 24, documents applying for the titles will be sent to the lawyers practicing organizations and the ceremony awarding the title planned to be held on August 28 in Hanoi.Concluding the conference, Vice Minister Nguyen Thuy Hien asserted the role and significance of the lawyers in the cause of national building and protection, positively contributing to building a socialist rule of law stateParty and Government have paid much attention to the development of lawyers through lots of documents, guidelines and policies. She expressed the hope that the vote would receive the participation of the lawyers practicing organizations and support and coordination of agencies…The Vice Minister also highly spoke of Vietnam Law newspaper and other agencies for their efforts in organising the meaningful vote./.-ITD
