On March 26, Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong received the delegation of newly-appointed overseas diplomats, including 19 new Ambassadors Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary and 6 Consul Generals. Congratulating the Ambassadors and Consul Generals, the Minister expressed the hope that the Ministry of Justice would continue to receive the support from Vietnam’s representative offices abroad.
At the meeting, the diplomats were informed about the functions, tasks, organizational apparatus and recent activities of Ministry of Justice, its situation of international cooperation in the field of justice as well as proposals of departments under Ministry of Justice in this field.
The diplomats thanked Ministry of Justice for its help and cooperation. They also exchanged views on cooperation activities between Ministry of Justice and Vietnamese embassies overseas.
The Minister pleged that the Ministry would closely cooperate with Ministry of Foreign Affairs, especially the representative offices abroad, to actively support the Ambassadors and Consul Generals in fulfilling the assigned political tasks. He also asked the Ambassadors and Consul Generals to assist the Justice Ministry to access more international legal information and knowledge.
