Hand over the duty of the Minister of JusticeOn 13 April 2016, the Ministry of Justice held a hand-over ceremony of the duty of the Minister of Justice between Mr. Ha Hung Cuong, former Minister and Mr. Le Thanh Long, member of the Central Committee of the CPV, Minister of Justice.Attending the ceremony, there have been representatives of the Central Organization Commission, the Central Committee of Internal Affairs, the Central Inspection Commission and the Ministry of Home Affairs. As for the Ministry of Justice, Deputy Ministers Dinh Trung Tung, Phan Chi Hieu and Tran Tien Dung, and heads of attached units of the Ministry, heads of socio political organizations also attended the ceremony.
Presenting the draft Minute of task handing-over, Deputy Minister of Justice cum Chief Executive of the MOJ’s Office reviewed the situation of the political tasks of the Ministry in 2011 - 2015 phase, task orientation for the phase of 2016 – 2020, and key tasks and measures of 2016. For the work load of the first 4 months of 2016, the Ministry has completed 16 out of 24 tasks, reaching the rate of 66.7%.
The draft Minute of task handing-over also focused on situation and results of the fields of organization-personnel, finance and the operation of Party organization and socio political organizations of the Ministry
Heads of attached units of the Ministry added some tasks that was completed under the direction of former Minister Ha Hung Cuong such as succesfully received the administrative procedure management system from the Government Office; primarily invested in Junior Schools of Law to train judicial staff; implemented newly-received duties under complicated condition
Speaking at the ceremony, the former Minister Ha Hung Cuong said the handing over is very convenient because the newly-appointed Minister Le Thanh Long has been working for the Ministry for a long time and has deep understanding about the work of the Ministry. He hoped that Minister Le Thanh Long continued implementing of the slogan "Solidarity, discipline, responsibility, innovation and development" to bring judicial work to higher achievement. Minister Le Thanh Long highly appreciated former Minister Ha Hung Cuong for his significant and valuable contribution to the development of the Ministry and the Justice sector. Minister Le Thanh Long also shared a number of priority tasks the Ministry of Justice shall implement in the near future, including legal normative document development, socializing judicial activities, applying information technology to the work of the Ministry, and improving lives of public servants and officials, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country, in general./.
