On January 05, 2012, Ambassador – Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam Franz Jessen came to greet Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong.
At the meeting, Minister Ha Hung Cuong congratulated Mr.Franz Jessen on taking the position as ambassador and head of the EU delegation to Vietnam. He highly spoke of the EU's support for Vietnam in the legal and judicial areas, especially the bilateral cooperation within the framework of sub-group on “co-operation in institution building, administrative reform, governance, religion and human rights” under Vietnam-EU Joint Commission and the activities of the legal assistance program (JPP). He believed that in 2012 and subsequent years, with the valuable experience and open cooperation, EU would play an important role in assisting Vietnam to perfect its legal system.
