In the framework of the approved activities, Vietnam and France Legal House in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice organized a working delegation to study the experiences on French Civil Code amendment in Paris from October 22 to 30.
The delegation, including representatives from Supreme Court; Government Office; Vietnam and France Legal House; Department of Economic-Civil Legislation under Ministry of Justice and Hanoi Bar Association, led by Deputy Minister of Justice Dinh Trung Tung.
During the time in Paris, the delegation has met and worked with French Supreme Court, Office of Civil Justice under French Ministry of Justice; the Supreme Council of Notaries; Paris Bar Association…
At the meetings, both sides exchanged views and shared experiences in legal development and perfection, which mainly focused on the legal stipulations on contract, civil liability outside contract, measures to ensure the performance of civil obligations, property rights... Besides the exchange of experiences on the revision of French Civil Code, the two sides also discussed the important institutions of the 2005 Civil Code which Vietnam was now having intention of amending.
Through the working visit, the delegation has gained lots of knowledge and valuable experiences from French side that can be utilized as a precondition for the modification of 2005 Vietnam's Civil Code./.-ITD
