Ministry of Justice’s senior delegation paid a courtesy visit to China
At the invitation of Chinese Ministry of Justice, on 31 October 2010, Vietnamese Ministry of Justice’s delegation headed by Deputy Minister Nguyen Thuy Hien visited China.

Among others who accompanied the Deputy Minister were Mr Nguyen Khanh Ngoc- Director of International Cooperation Department, Mr Nguyen Duy Lam- Director of Legal Dissemination and Education Department, Mr Nguyen Van Huyen- Deputy Director of Law Research Institute, Ms Vu Thi Thu Hang- Director of Professional Matters 2 Department under General Department of Civil Judgement Enforcement, and Mr Le Minh Tuan- Director of Da Nang city-based Center for Transactions and Property Registration.

The delegation started its official working visits by holding a meeting with Vietnamese Embassy in China.

The next meeting of the delegation, on November 1, was at Chinese Ministry of Justice. The delegation was received by Chinese Justice Vice Minister Zhang Xiufu. Two sides exchanged views on various fields such as: experiences in legal and judicial reforms, the organization and activities of Justice Sector in each country, the professional matters (law building, judgement enforcement, judicial administration, legal aid, judicial training and research, international cooperation…). They also agreed that two Ministries of Justice needed to strengthen the cooperation, especially in the bilateral cooperative apparatus, which would contribute to boost the economic, cultural cooperation between two countries.

The delegation devoted the afternoon of the same day to visit the China’s Supreme People’s Court and the Supreme People’s Procuracy. The delegation was then received and accorded warm welcome by vice-president of China's Supreme People's Court and Deputy Procurator- General of Chinese Supreme People’s Procuracy. At the working sessions, the delegation exchanges experiences in judicial reforms, cooperative apparatus, human resources training and development…

On the next day of the working visit, November 2, the delegation worked with China Bar Association. Two sides have discussions about lawyer training and development, the role of lawyers in building the state of jurisdiction…

On November 3-6, the delegation continues its working visit in Shanghai and Guangxi Departments of Justice./.- ITD
