Boosting the cooperation between Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and Vietnamese Ministry of JusticeOn the morning of October 12, Standing Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien received Dr Hans-Gert Poettering, Chairman of KAS and former President of the European Parliament on the occasion of his working visit to Vietnam.At the meeting, Dr Hoang The Lien highly appreciated KAS’s activities contributing to the legal and judicial reform process in Vietnam. He expressed the desire that two sides would futher cooperation, especially in certain fields such as: state of jurisdiction, legal implementation, human resource development.Concerning the human matters with the aim “all people are able to live self-determined lives in freedom and dignity”, two sides exchanged views on the conception of people images in Vietnam, the relationship between citizen and State as well as the matters of land property and methods of land withdrawal. Through the provided information, the Chairman and members of KAS had an overall view of Vietnamese policies and laws in the areas that KAS cared about. The similarities in the view of human rights, assuring the principles “freedom, justice and consolidarity” were the foundations to boost the cooperation between KAS and Vietnamese Ministry of Justice in the coming time./.- ITD
