The senior delegation of Ministry of Justice to visit Japan
The senior delegation from Vietnamese Ministry of Justice led by Standing Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien paid a working visit to Japan on October 4 at the invitation of Japanese Minister of Justice.

Also attending the delegation were Mr Nguyen Van Luyen, Director General of Civil Judgement Enforcement General Department; Mr Le Hong Son, head of Ministry’s Office; Mr Nguyen Thai Phuc, Director of Ministry of Justice’s Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr Tran That, Director of Judicial Administration Department; Mr Nguyen Thanh Tinh, Deputy Director of Economic-Civil Legislation Department and Ms Ha Phuong Lan, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department.

The delegation spent their first working day to visit Japanese Ministry of Justice’s headquarter, Japanese Supreme Public Prosecutors Office and the Research and Training Institute under Japanese Ministry of Justice. The delegation also had a talk with Justice Minister Minoru Yanagida and Prosecutor- General Hiroshi Ohbayashi.

At the meetings, leaders of both Ministries of Justice highly appreciated the recently legal and judicial cooperation between Vietnam and Japan. Japanese Ministry of Justice claimed that the effective coordination from Vietnamese side in implementing the bilateral Cooperation Programs on researching and developing the legal and judicial system in Vietnam since 1994 with JICA’s support help boost the relationship between two Governments,  People in general and two Justice sectors in particular. Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien gave his thanks to Japanese Government for their effective and essential support to Vietnamese Ministry of Justice, especially in sending experts, providing information, holding conferences and seminars to help Vietnamese organisations research and develop the legal system… Two sides also agreed in principle that, based on the evaluation of the current stage of cooperation, the two Ministries of Justice and JICA will discuss in details the operating orientation for the new stage of cooperation./. -ITD
