The mid-term meeting of the Programme Coordination Groups between Vietnamese Government and the United Nation was held in Hanoi on the afternoon of September 20. Mr Hoang The Lien- Standing Deputy Minister of Justice and Ms Setsuko Yamazaki -UNDP Country Director in Vietnam co-chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were also representatives from the National Assembly, Vietnamese Government, UN’s organisations and other sponsors in Vietnam.
MOJ’s delegation led by Mr Nguyen Van Dung- Vice President of the Judicial Academy paid a working visit to study and exchange experiences in Indonesia from 19 to 25 of September.
Ministry of Justice held the meeting summarizing 10 years of security and defence education. Attending the meeting were Deputy Minister Dinh Trung Tung and representatives from Ministry of Justice’s departments, Ministry of Defence and High Command of Hanoi Capital.
On September 24, Bac Giang Department of Justice opened the training course on national legal aid for more than 70 delegates, who are legal aid workers, collaborators and experts from the provincial legal aid Center. Lecturer at the training course was Dr Tran Huy Lieu- Deputy of Legal Aid Department under Ministry of Justice.
On September 27-29, in Hanoi, the refresher course for staff working in the Ministry of Justice’s press and publishing agencies in 2010 is joinly held by the Judicial Publishing House and Department of Personnel and Organisation under Ministry of Justice. This is Ministry of Justice’s annual activity aimed to foster and improve the staff’s capabilities. The course will provide its trainees with necessary professional skills and knowledge in the field of press and publishing to meet the demand of information and communication activities in the current situation./. -ITD
