Vietnam and Japan continue to cooperate in the legal reform
On August 26, Ministry of Justice held the ceremony to award certificate of merit to the training and research institute of Japanese Ministry of Justice. The certificate of merit aims at acknowledging the active contribution of the agency to aid Vietnamese agencies and institutes in legal training.

Also at the ceremony, the medal on “contribution to the justice development in Vietnam” is given to Mr NISHIOKA Takeshi- Prosecutor of Japanese Ministry of Justice, chief advisor of JICA project.

Addressing at the ceremony, Minister Ha Hung Cuong emphasized that the support of the training and research institute of Japanese Ministry of Justice partly contributes to the  great achievements in the legal and judicial reforms in Vietnam as well as to the strategic partnership between the two countries. He expressed the hope that two Ministries of Justice continue to cooperate in attaining the goals of legal building and reform.

Earlier, Minister Ha Hung Cuong and Mr SAKAI Kunihiko, director of the training and research institute under Japanese Ministry of Justice, had a talk on the cooparation between Vietnam and Japan in legal and judicial field. Two sides agreed to maintain and improve the cooperation through the specific activities in the coming time.

On the same day, on the occasion to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Japan, Ministry of Justice held the seminar on  “legal cooperation between Vietnam and Japan- achievements and development orientation.”
