Awarding medal on contribution to the justice development in Vietnam to Development Counsellor of Canadian Embassy to Vietnam
On August 21, Ministry of Justice awarded medal for justice cause to Mr Andrew Smith- Development Counsellor of Canadian Embassy in Vietnam and CIDA country director.

On behalf of Ministry of Justice and agencies having legal cooperation with Canada, Deputy Minister Le Thanh Long congratulated Mr Andrew Smith and emphasized that Mr Andrew Smith, along with Canadian embassy to Vietnam and CIDA, has had active and effective contributions to legal cooperative activities between Vietnam and Canada, as well as to legal reforms in Vietnam. Besides, the their contributions also help to improve the training standard and experiences of legal and judicial staff in Vietnam.

The award aims at acknowldging his contributions and sentiment to Justice Sector and legal reforms in Vietnam.

Addressing at the ceremony, Mr Andrew Smith expressed his pleasure to work and cooperate with Vietnamese Ministry of Justice and agencies through the Project for legal and judicial support. He said that the cooperative results between CIDA and Vietnamese partners will help to affirm the long presence of CIDA in Vietnam. He also promised to further promote the legal bilateral cooperation.
