Within the working framework, on August 13, the delegation came to greet Minister of Justice Ang Vong Vathanna.
At the reception, Minister Ang Vong Vathanna expressed the hope that two sides would discuss the matters with the active and cooperative spirits to reach an agreement.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Chinh thanked the Minister’s warm welcome and affirmed the two parties would exchange views and conclude the remaining provisions of the draft agreement after the success of two rounds of negotiation (in Phnompenh in July, 2011 and in Hanoi in August, 2011).
Leaders of the two Ministries said that the signature of the Agreement on legal assistance is the legal basis for assuring the rights and benefits of two countries’ citizens, contributing to promote the legal and judicial cooperation between two Ministries of Justice and boost the bilateral relationship between two countries.
After the meeting, two parties negotiated the draft Agreement on legal assistance at the headquater of Cambodian Ministry of Justice.
