He stated with a common history and culture, Vietnam and Sri Lanka have many opportunities to work together, share experiences for the benefit of each country. Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong on July17 had a courtesy meeting with Professor Gamini Lakshman Peiris, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
Talking to Minister Ha Hung Cuong, Mr. Gamini Lakshman Peiris said that nowadays Sri Lanka is making efforts to implement the objectives of legal and justice reform, particularly investment, intellectual property, information technology to promote economic development - society. He stated with a common history and culture, Vietnam and Sri Lanka have many opportunities to work together, share experiences for the benefit of each country. The Minister is committed to continuously strengthen this relationship and continued strong support for Vietnam in the international multilateral forums.
Minister Ha Hung Cuong gave thanks for sharing of Minister Gamini Lakshman Peiris and expressed his pleasure at the Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation, Science and Technology between the two countries met and reached the initial agreement was remarkable. Both two countries need to exchange experience with complete legal system, judicial reform for integration and development. Initially, the Ministries of Justice conducted two countries are preparing to go to the Memorandum of Cooperation, implementation of cooperative activities in legal and justice field, to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
Minister welcomed professor Gamini Lakshman Peiris for taking the time to visit Vietnam Ministry of Justice and also wished he had useful knowledge about the country, people of Vietnam.
