From June 23 to July 02, Deputy Minister Dinh Trung Tung, accompanied by Mr.Duong Dang Hue- Director of Department of Economic-Civil Legislation, Nguyen Thi Kim Phung - Vice Rector of Hanoi Law University, had a working visit to the Russian Federation.
As scheduled, the delegation met with Russian Ministry of Justice, The Committee of the State Duma for Civil, Criminal, Arbitration and Procedural Legislation, Supreme’s Court, the national judicial academy in Moscow, Moscow State Law Academy…
At the meeting with the Ministry of Justice of Russian Federation, Deputy Minister Dinh Trung Tung and Russian Federation’s Deputy Minister of Justice Yuri Lyubimov discussed plans for cooperation between the two ministries in the last 6 months of 2012 and the year 2013. According to tentative plans, to implement the cooperation agreement signed in 2010, two Ministries of Justice would hold meetings to exchange experiences in the contents of mutual interest such as: amendment of the Civil Code and the Penal Code, the unified management of civil and criminal enforcement, the management of the legal profession, free legal aid, legal education and dissemination, monitoring the promulgation of legal normative documents of the Ministries.
Through exchange and discussions with managers, experts and scientists in the field of civil law, the delegation has gained precious experience in the process of civil law renovation in general and amendment of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation in particular, practically contributing to the Civil Code amendment in Vietnam.
