Successfully finish complements the Draft Agreement on Judicially Civil Assistance between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Because of the fact that the cooperation relationship in business and civilian between Vietnam and Cambodia have been raising fast recently, the Judicially Civil Assistance Agreement between the two countries become necessary to make an important legal base to protect the rights and benefits of individuals, organizations and enterprises of both countries when they take part in civil, trade and investment activities and this would help to furthermore promote the Vietnam-Cambodia collaboration.

Under the direction of the Prime Minister in 2011, Ministry of Justice in cooperation with other ministries, sectors successfully held the formal Agreement negotiations. The second negotiation was held on August 13th to 14th, 2012 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Vietnamese and Cambodian Ministries of Justice completed the draft Agreement technically to be ready for signing in Hanoi.

Delegation of Vietnam included Justice Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Chinh and representatives from Ministries of Justice, Foreign Affair and Supreme People’s Court. Delegation from Cambodian Justice Ministry was led by Mr. Hy Shophea, Secretary of State in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

After two days hard work with cooperation spirit, the two delegations made the draft clear and agreed to technical problems and made it complete. At the end of discussion, two leaders signed a written record of the working result.

Expectedly, the leaders from Cambodian Ministry of Justice would pay a working visit to Vietnam in November 2012.
