Minister Ha Hung Cuong received Chairman of the International Cotton Association
On August 21, the International Cotton Association (ICA) delegation led by Chairman Antonio Esteve held a visit to the Justice Ministry during his work visit to Vietnam.

Chairman Antonio Esteve said that Vietnam was an important partner in the international cotton market but in recent years, due to the impact of the economic crisis and other factors affecting the price of cotton in the world downswings has made ​​the implementation of the cotton import contracts between corporations, Vietnam's textile companies and international enterprises cotton got into difficulties. Only in the last 18 months, there had over 40 disputes related companies in Vietnam have been given arbitration settlement mechanism of ICA.

For the reasons mentioned above, ICA’s delegation would like to learn more about Vietnam's regulations on the settlement of commercial disputes, including arbitration as a method of solving trade, as well as the conditions for the award of ICA arbitration to be executed in Vietnam.

Minister Ha Hung Cuong delivered introduction to the ICA about dispute settlement mechanism of Vietnam. He said that the Vietnamese authorities always win the "mediation chance" with a view "dispute resolution is important but maintaining collaborative relationships is more important than trade."

Ministers wanted ICA to understand and more support for Vietnam to further integration into the international market activities, including cotton market, support the Vietnamese Ministry of Justice as well as in the field of commercial arbitration Trading and settlement of disputes in the cotton industry of Vietnam and sooner arbitrator of Vietnam to participate in ICA.
