Minister Ha Hung Cuong together with senior delegation of the Government to visit New Zealand
Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong together with senior delegation of the Government led by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on April 14 paid a visit to New Zealand.

On April 16, the delegation held a meeting with Mr Bill English, New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. They then held talks with Ms. Hekia Parata, Minister of Education of New Zealand, Ms. Judith Collins, Minister of Justice of New Zealand, Attorney General Christopher Finlayson and witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement on education and training. At the meetings, both sides appreciated the fine development of the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and New Zealand in all areas. They also agreed to strengthen high-level meeting and make efforts to exploit and take advantage of potential opportunities to enhance bilateral relations.

The New Zealand highly spoke of the investment potential in Vietnam and promised to create favorable conditions for Vietnam goods in accessing to New Zealand market, especially seafood and tropical fruit. New Zealand also agreed to give ODA to Vietnam, especially in the field of education and training.

Justice Minister Judith Collins said she agreed to consider the development of a judicial assistance agreement between the two countries, in order to create a legal basis for increasing cooperation in the area. Meanhile, Attorney General Christopher Finlayson also affirmed New Zealand ’s willingness to boost cooperation with Vietnam in the field of justice.

The Justice Minister and the delegation left Wellington on April 17.
