On 4 March 2011, Standing Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien had a meeting with Mr Dimyati Natakusumah, Vice Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives Legislation Council.
Vietnam and Indonesia are both members of AIPA and ASEAN, sharing certain common features in natural and social conditions. Therefore, two countries have advantages in expanding mutual cooperation, especially in the legal and judicial fields.
At the meeting, Standing Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien warmly welcomed the delegation of Indonesian House of Representatives Legislation Council.
For his part, Mr Dimyati Natakusumah thanked the Standing Deputy Minister for spending time to receive the delegation. He highly appreciated Viet Nam's progress in offering legal aid to the people.
Two sides then had a discussion on various areas, focusing on collecting information and results relating to the compilation of legal normative documents on judicial support. They also exchanged experiences on activities of judicial support./.-ITD
