Vietnamese, Lao ministries of justice sign Cooperation Agreement in 2011-2015
Lao Minister of Justice, Mr Chaleuan Yapaoher paid a courtesy visit to Vietnam on August 24-29 at the invitation of Minister Ha Hung Cuong.

On August 25, the two ministers had a talk and later signed the Cooperation Agreement between the two ministries of Justice in Hanoi.

At the reception, Minister Ha Hung Cuong warmly welcomed the delegation of Ministry of Justice of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. The two ministers were then glad to inform each other  two countries’ economic and social situation.  

On this occasion, Minister Ha Hung Cuong invited Mr Chaleuan Yapaoher to attend the opening ceremony of Ministry of Justice’s historical palace in Tuyen Quang province on August 27 and deliver a speech at the ceremony celebrating 65th anniversary of Justice Sector on August 28.

   

The two sides’ cooperation was also mentioned at the meeting. Both Ministers agreed that the bilateral cooperation gained significant achievements and expressed their hope to see the cooperation be improved in the future.

At the end of the meeting, two ministers signed the new cooperation agreement in 2011-2015. The cooperation agreement covers a wider range of application and replaces the Memorandum on cooperation plan between two ministries in 2007-2010.

The Lao Minister of Justice’s working visit to Vietnam marked a new step of development in the two countries’ judicial and legal cooperation, contributing to strengthen and expand the special friendship, comprehensive cooperation between two Parties, States and People.
