Shortening the marriage registration time 13/02/2012

Government has issued Decree No. 06/2012/ND-CP amending and supplementing some articles of the Decree on civil status, marriage and family, authentication, in which adding regulations on civil status registration records through the postal system and shortening the marriage registration time. Accordingly, the time of the marriage registration has been shortened from 5 days to 3 days.

Shortening the time of granting legal aid collaborator’s card 09/02/2012

According to Decree No.5/2012/ND-CP amending and supplementing some articles of the Decrees on registration of security transactions, legal aid, lawyers, legal consultancy, the time of granting collaborator’s card will be 7 days instead of 22 days as currently.

New charge rates of notary fees 06/02/2012

From March 15, 2012, the notary fees will be made as prescribed in joint circular No. 08/2012/TTLT-BTC-BTP issued by the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Justice, replacing circular No.91/2008/TTLT-BTC-BTP dated October17, 2008.

Activity fee for lawyer practice in Vietnam 03/02/2012

According to Circular No.02/2012/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance for the collection, remittance, management and use of fees for lawyers operating in Vietnam, since March 1, 2012 the license fee for establishing branches of foreign lawyers' organizations, foreign law firms in Vietnam is 20 million.

Regulations on civil servants of communes, wards and townships 23/12/2011

On December 5, the Government issued Decree No. 112/2011/ND-CP on regulations for civil servants of communes, wards and townships. Under this Decree, the recruitment of civil servants must be based on mission requirements, the standard title and number of civil servants in each title of the People's Committee of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government.

New Decree on conditions and procedures for licensing and management of operation of voluntary drug detoxification establishments 13/12/2011

On October 18, 2011, the Government issued Decree No. 94/ 2011/ ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of the government’s decree No. 147/ 2003/ ND-CP of December 2, 2003, on conditions and procedures for licensing and management of operation of voluntary drug detoxification establishments.

Decree No. 103/2011/ND-CP 07/12/2011

On November 1, 2011, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs issued Circular No. 31/2011/TT-BLDTBXH guiding implementation of Decree 34/2008/ND-CP dated 25 March 2008 of the Government and Decree 46/2011/ND-CP dated 17 June 2011 of the Government amending and supplementing number of articles of Decree 34/2008/ND-CP of the Government regarding recruiting and managing foreign labor in Vietnam.
