On May 6, Ministry of Justice in coordination with Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) held the first meeting of the steering committee for national legislative development project. Deputy Minister Dinh Trung Tung and Ms Victoria Sutherland, CIDA country director, co-chaired the meeting.
The National Legislative Development Project in Viet Nam is funded by Canadian Government aiming at strengthening Vietnam’s legal foundations for economic growth through an integrated program of reforms to the Vietnamese legislative development process.
After one year of discussion, exchanging views and amendment of draft action plans, the action plan for the project gets the agreement and hopes to be passed at the meeting.

Addressing at the meeting, Deputy Minister Tung expressed the hope that the project would be successfully implemented and achieved its targets.
