Hague convention on international justice- 120 years of development
On April 9, the ceremony celebrating the 120th anniversary of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (the Hague Conference) was held in the Hague.
The celebration marks a historic milestone for the oldest international organisation in the Hague. The Hague Conference is a global intergovernmental organization which was founded in 1893. Its goal is to build bridges between diverse legal systems and facilitate cross-border co-operation in civil and commercial matters. This co-operation is primarily achieved through the use of multilateral treaties, or Hague Conventions. These Conventions serve global demands for cross-border solutions to disputes or transactions in the area of family law, legal co-operation / litigation and commercial and finance law. The delegation from Ministry of Justice headed by Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien paid a visit to the Netherlands to attend the event as well as the annual meeting of the Hague Conference.
