Seminar on organisational models of judicial agencies- international experience and proposals for Vietnam
Ministry of Justice on May 3 held the seminar on organisational models of judicial agencies- international experience and proposals for Vietnam. This is an activity planned in the 2013 action plan of the justice partnership program (JPP) funded by EU, Denmark and Sweden. Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien and Mr Bryan Fornani, Head of economic cooperation and governance section under EU delegation in Vietnam, co-chaired the seminar.

According to Deputy Minister Lien, the seminar aimed at sharing experience on directions and proposals in the organisation of the procuracy, court and civil judgement execution agencies. It is also a valuable contribution of JPP to the legal and judicial reform in Vietnam.

With the attendance of representatives from related Ministries, sectors, sponsors, international organisations…, participants heard lots of opinions relating to the organisation of judicial agencies. Especially, Prof.Liling Yue, Professor of Law, China University of political science and law, and Mr.Jos Uitdehaag, first secretary of the international Association of Enforcement officers, member of the Board of the Royal Dutch Chamber of Enforcement officers, shared international experience on court system reform and execution of judicial decision, which helped participants have an overview of the organisation of judicial agencies in other countries; thus, to propose the most suitable models for Vietnam.
