On January 10, Ministry of Justice in coordination with the Vietnam central Women’s Union held the conference reviewing 10 years of the joint-program No 14/2002/CTPH-TP-PN on legal dissemination, education and aid for women. Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong and chairwoman of Vietnam women’s union Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa co-chaired the meeting.
Addressing at the event, Minister Ha Hung Cuong affirmed that, through ten years of implementation, the joint program has helped to raise women’s legal awareness and law abiding attitudes. However, despite the gained results, the joint program does not meet the present practice and rennovative requirements of the legal dissemination, education and aid.
Discussing at the conference, delegates from judicial agencies and women’s union shared experience and difficulties in the program’s implementation and suggested measures to overcome these difficulties.
Minister Ha Hung Cuong and Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa then signed the coordination program between the two agencies which aims at enhancing the legal dissemination, education and aid for women in the stage 2013-2017.
