Ministry of Justice, on October 11, held a seminar reviewing the implementation of the Criminal Records Law in Hanoi. Justice Deputy Minister Pham Quy Ty attended and chaired the seminar. Attending at the seminar were representatives from Departments of Justice, Public Security, Defense Ministries, Court, Procuratorate and civil judgment enforcement agencies.

Talking about 02 years of implementation of the Law on Criminal Records, Director of the National Center for Criminal Records Dang Thanh Son said that after two years of implementation the judicial management initially comes into order and stability; the number of the criminal information is  accurately and timely updated; the focal points in charge of providing criminal information have made lots of efforts in fulfilling the provisions of the Law on Criminal Records.

However, the implementation of the Law on Criminal Records faces with difficulties due to gaps between the provisions of the Law and practice, the slow promulgation of legal documents guiding the law; the inefficiency in coordination between agencies...

Having speech at the seminar, Deputy Minister Pham Quy Ty acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the National Centre for Criminal Records, Departments under Ministry of Justice and the units involved in the implementation of the Law on Criminal Records. He also pointed out the difficulties and challenges arising mainly from practical implementation of the Law as well as solutions in the coming time.
