Building the two national key legal training centers
On January 30, the Standing Group of the Central Steering Committee on Judicial Reform had a meeting with Hanoi Law University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Law on plan to build the two training institutes into major national legal training centers.
Having speech at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized the need for centralized management and further improvement on the quality of the law training at two universities, meeting the requirements of management and development in the current international integration. He also stressed that education and professional training must be attached to moral education and professional qualities arising from real life. Besides, it required immediately remedies to the inadequacies and shortcomings in the current legal training.
Deputy Minister of Justice Hoang The Lien said that the two institutes haven’t fully utilised their potential. Therefore, there should be joint-training, internships, research with other functional agencies such as Ministry of Justice, People’s Supreme Court, People’s Supreme Procuracy to improve the training quality.
Having conclusion at the meeting, State President Truong Tan Sang emphasized Resolution no 49/NQ-TW of the Politburo dated February 06, 2005 on Judicial Reform Strategy to 2020 had identified the construction of the Hanoi Law University and Ho Chi Minh City Law University into major national legal training centers so that the two universities had to make efforts to realize the above tasks./.-ITD
