Ministry of Justice on September 9 organized a symposium on evaluation of the petitions, proposals from Ministries, Sectors and localities as well as Ministry of Justice’s response.
Attending the meeting were representatives of the Party Central Office, Office of the National Assembly, Supreme People's Court, Ministry of Home Affairs and leaders of agencies under Ministry of Justice, local Departments of Justice and legal agencies of related Ministries and Sectors. Standing Deputy Minister of Justice Hoang The Lien attended and chaired the Conference.
The Symposium heard reports reviewing the petitions, proposals from Ministries, Sectors and localities as well as settlement of petitions by the Ministry of Justice. The reports showed that, during the period 2007- 2011, the settlement of petitions by the Ministry of Justice has made progresses, helping to accelerate the time and quality of solving a great deal of assigned work, to meet the demand of judicial and administrative reforms and state management at Central and local levels.
In his concluding address to the conference, Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien appreciated the positive working spirit of the delegates and stressed the need to expand the conference. He also emphasized the need to heighten the responsibility of making laws; to build the close cooperation mechanism as well as the regulations of receiving and settling the petitions; to expand the conference to a national scale; and to boost the application of information technology in this field./.-ITD
