Deputy Minister Nguyen Khanh Ngoc received US Deputy Chief of Mission in VietnamOn August 10, Justice Deputy Minister Nguyen Khanh Ngoc had a meeting with Ms Susan Sutton, US Deputy Chief of Mission in Vietnam.At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Khanh Ngoc informed Ms Susan Sutton of Vietnam’s Parliament and Government’s efforts in amending, supplementing, issuing a number of important laws to implement the 2013 Constitution. This poses lots of challenges for the legal and judicial reform, therefore, Vietnam needs a lot of valuable cooperation and assistance to perfect its legal system.The Deputy Minister stressed that the United States has experience in the law systemization, and codification, that worth for Vietnam to learn and cooperate in the legal and judicial field.Agreeing with the Deputy Minister, Ms Susan Sutton affirmed that she would do her utmost to develop the relation between two sides. She hopes that the US support programs will be useful and solve the problems that Vietnam is facing with.At the meeting, two parties also discussed and exchanged information on matters of mutual concerns, especially the training of human resources, including lawyer training to meet the needs of Vietnam’s integration and economic development.

On August 10, Justice Deputy Minister Nguyen Khanh Ngoc had a meeting with Ms Susan Sutton, US Deputy Chief of Mission in Vietnam.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Khanh Ngoc informed Ms Susan Sutton of Vietnam’s Parliament and Government’s efforts in amending, supplementing, issuing a number of important laws to implement the 2013 Constitution.
