The two ministers openly discussed the issues related to cooperation in the field of adoption between Vietnam and Ireland, especially since Vietnam joined in 1993 Hague Convention on child protection, and both expressed the hope that the gained results would be finer in the future.
Two sides also mentioned the issue of lawyers training for Vietnam. Minister Ha Hung Cuong expressed his thanks to Ireland for their support to Vietnam in this area and wished the activity to be more fruitful.
Ms Frances Fitzgerald invited Minister Ha Hung Cuong to have a working visit to Ireland and witness the signing of an agreement on adoption between the two countries in the first half of 2012. Minister Ha Hung Cuong agreed and promised to arrange time to visit Ireland at the invitation of the Irish Minister’s invitation./.-ITD
