Awarding commemorative medal “For the justice cause” to UN Resident Coordinator in Viet Nam
Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong on May 5 awarded commemorative medal “For the justice cause” to Mr John Hendra, UN Resident Coordinator in Viet Nam, to acknowledge his contribution to Justice Sector and the development of Vietnam.
During his five-year term in Vietnam, Mr John Hendra has had significant contributions to the development of Vietnam.

Addressing at the ceremony, Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong affirmed that the commemorative medal was the recognition for Mr John Hendra’s active contribution as well as the valuable contributions of UN and its staff to the development of Justice Sector. He also expressed his hope that Mr John Hendra, on his new position, would continue supporting the relations between UN and Vietnam as well as the legal and judicial reforms in Vietnam.

Mr. John Hendra, who has ended his working term in Việt Nam, expressed his pleasure to receive the commemorative medal “For the justice cause”. Speaking at the ceremony, he also highlighted the country’s achievements in judicial reform and hoped that UN and Vietnam would become strategic partners in the coming time./.-ITD
