Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong met with Mr Ranjit Rae – Indian Ambassador to Vietnam
On 20 December 2010, Mr Ranjit Rae paid a working visit to Ministry of Justice and was warmly welcomed by Minister Ha Hung Cuong (Mr Ranjit Rae is the first Indian Ambassador coming to visit Ministry of Justice).

At the meeting, both Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong and Ambassador Ranjit Rae expressed their pleasures with the traditional relations between Vietnam and India. The two countries have implemented many cooperation programs and projects on three main areas: the defence and security; the economics and trade; the culture, education and human resource training. The notable activities can be seen as: the foundation of Vietnam – India Friendship Association; the signing of Vietnam-India judicial support Agreement, the procedures of the Agreement on extradition…

Minister Ha Hung Cuong expressed his hope that the two Ministries of Justice would have positive contributions to further the traditional cooperations between two countries. He also hoped the Ambassador would convey the message to Indian Ministry of Justice and Government that Vietnam was willing to cooperate with India in the legal and judicial fields. On this occasion, Minister Ha Hung Cuong asked the Ambassador to convey his invitation to Indian Justice Minister for an official visit to Vietnam.

The Minister believed that with the attention and cooperation of Ambassador Ranjit Rae, friendship cooperative relations between the two countries in general and the two Ministries of Justice in particular would be promoted and developed better.

Giving thanks to Minister Ha Hung Cuong, Ambassador Ranjit Rae hoped that Vietnam and India would look for opportunities in order to strengthen cooperation in legal and judicial field in the coming time. He said that during the time he held the position of Indian Ambassador to Vietnam, he would try his best to develop more cooperative relations between the two countries.
