Ordinance of legal document unification to take effect from June 1

Ordinance of legal document unification regulated the merging of legal normative documents issued by the state agencies at central level; the authority and responsibilities of these agencies in the legal document unification; process  and technique of legal document unification to ensure that the legal system is simple, clear, easy to execute and efficient.

The ordinance was developed in response to the Politburo Resolution No.48/NQ-TƯ on the Strategy to build and complete the Vietnam law system, with a vision to 2020.

The merging of legal documents must ensure conformity with the Constitution and relevant laws and the unity of the nation's legal system. The promulgation of the ordinance also contributes to realising the country's commitments to building a unified, transparent and accessible legal system.

The Ordinance included  4 chapters, 20 articles. The third Chapter of the Ordinance clearly prescribed the technique of legal document unification, which shall specify the procedures and techniques of presenting the merged document; name of the merged document, preamble,  samples of the merging documents ...

The Ordinance will come into effect from June 1, 2012.
