Vietnam – Russia Judicial Cooperation: Dynamic and Positive

On 11th April, Justice Minister Le Thanh Long welcomed the delegation of Russia Ministry of Justice led by Deputy Minister Aristov Dmitri Vasilevich.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Aristov Dmitri Vasilevich shared the main functions of the Russia Ministry of Justice such as managing legislate activities of legal authorities, supervising law execution; managing activies of non-profit organization… He noted that the Ministry’s functions cover a wide range of activities, focusing on promoting democracy and effectively, timely and synchronously implementing the law. He also emphasized that along with the development of the cooperative relation between two States and Governments, the cooperation between two Ministries has achieved dynamic and positive progress in recent years.
Minister Le Thanh Long briefly informed the delegation of Russia Ministry of Justice about the  social, political and economic situation of Vietnam over the past years. He added that the Ministry is proving its position and partly contributes to the development of the country.
Two parties also discussed matters concerning activities of Bailiff offices, civil judgment execution, amendment of the Criminal Code.
On the same day, the delegation also greeted the Chief Justice and the Procurator General; worked with some Departments under the Ministry of Justice.
