On April 29, Vice Minister Phan Chi Hieu received Mr. Gaston Fernadez - Office Managing Partner of Hogan Lovells International LLP in Viet Nam.
Vice Minister Hieu congratulated Mr. Gaston Fernadez on his new position as Managing Partner of the Vietnamese branch. He expressed the belief that as a foreign law firm with 26 years of operation in Viet Nam in the fields of corporate, finance and banking, energy and intellectual property, Hogan Lovells International LLP had already gained in-depth practical experiences in Viet Nam.
He shared the Government’s assignments to the Ministry of Justice, ranging from drafting legal normative documents to organizing law enforcement. Vice Minister Hieu expressed the hope that with its expertise, Hogan Lovells International LLP would effectively support the Ministry of Justice in amending the Law on Lawyers and drafting the Decree detailing a number of articles of this Law and in legal training. The Ministry of Justice stands ready to support and create favorable conditions for Hogan Lovells International LLP to operate in Viet Nam.
Thaking the Vice Minister for his welcome, Mr. Gaston Fernadez looked forward to cooperating with the Ministry of Justice and affirmed his commitment to supporting the Ministry in legal consulting and training.
