In the framework of the rule-of-law dialogue program between Vietnam and Germany, on June 5 and 6, Ministry of Justice in cooperation with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Institute (KAS) hosted the seminar of the provisions on subjects, transactions and representation in the 2005 Civil Code of Vietnam – Orientation for amendments and additions. Mr Duong Dang Hue, Director of the Economic-Civil Legislation Department, chaired the workshop.
Attending the seminar were representatives of KAS, KAS and EU projects, RLI, UNDP, JPP, the editorial group of the amended Civil Code, the Supreme People's Court, Supreme People's Procuracy, the provincial Departments of Justice and lawyer Federations of Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Thanh Hoa, lecturers from Faculty of civil Law - Hanoi University of Law, Faculty of Law - National University and the Faculty of Law - University of National Economics.
The seminar discussed the inadequacies, limitations and orientations for amendments and additions relating to the provisions on regulatory practices, civil transactions, legal entities and individuals, families and representation. The delegates basically agreed that the above provisions needs obstacles amending and supplementing, however, there are different opinions about the orientations for amendments and additions.
The seminar’s results will be taken into consideration in the building of the amended Civil Code.
