The National Center for Judicial Records makes its debut
On 02 March, Ministry of Justice held the launching ceremony for the national center for judicial records. The ceremony aimed at officially announcing the foundation and operation of the national center for judicial records, introducing the functions, duties, powers and organizational structure of the national center for judicial records, the relation between the national center for judicial records and other related organizations and agencies in providing, receiving, updating and processing information on judicial records.
  Present at the event were Ms Le Thi Thu Ba - Chairman of the National Assembly’s Justice Committee, Mr Van Tat Thu- Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and leaders from other Ministries, sectors and localities. In the Ministry of Justice’s side were Minister Ha Hung Cuong, Deputy Minister Dinh Trung Tung, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thuy Hien and leaders of departments under Ministry of Justice.

On 26 January 2011, Minister of Justice issued Decision No. 97/ QD-BTP prescribing the functions, duties, powers and organizational structure of the national center for judicial records.

Addressing at the ceremony, Minister Ha Hung Cuong affirmed that judicial records played an important role in people’s civil life as well as in managing people and supporting the activities of criminal procedure. The foundation of the national center for judicial records will create both favorable conditions and challenges for these tasks in the coming time. He asked the center to futher focus on the following duties: strengthening the organization, buiding the modern and professional working style, applying information technology in its activities and coordinating with other agencies in exchanging and providing information on judicial records./.-ITD
