Ceremony celebrating the 65th anniversary of Justice Sector and receiving the Gold Star Order
On August 28, Ministry of Justice held the ceremony celebrating its 65th anniversary and receiving the Gold Star Order.

Present at the ceremony were Mr Le Kha Phieu, former Secretary of Communist Party; Mr Tran Duc Luong, former State President; Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong; Vice Chairman of National Assembly Uong Chung Luu, Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong, Lao Minister of Justice Chaleuan Yapaoher; Cambodian Minister of Justice Angvong Vathama; Ministry of Justice’s leaders and former leaders; representatives from various Ministries, boards and sectors at central and local level and international delegations.

This event was an occasion for generations of Justice Sector’s staff to meet and review the 65 year history of building and developing the Sector in the struggle for independence, national unification and in the cause of national construction and protection. It is also a time for each Sector’s staff to feel proud of the significant achievements in building and perfecting the legal foundation and democratic justice, and in successfully performing the state management over legislative work and execution and other judicial activities nationwide.

   

In his speech at the ceremony, Minister Ha Hung Cuong asserted that the Sector has recently witnessed significant progresses; judicial works has been strengthened in terms of scope and quality; especially, the organizational status and institution has been consolidated and strengthened.

To be excited and proud of the Sector’s tradition, he also affirmed that the whole Justice Sector would overcome all the difficulties, make efforts to promote the Sector’s accomplishment and glorious tradition, continue the works of the previous generations, successfully fulfill the judicial works, and be worth to the belief of Party, Nation and People.

Addressing at the ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung acknowledged  the Sector’s efforts and contribution  to the national construction and development. He stated that Vietnamese Party and State would continue to build the State of jurisdiction of people, for people and towards people ; promote the legal and judicial reforms, focus on building a transparent and strong state administrative system assuring the integrated, effective management.

Based on that spirit, Prime Minister asked the Justice Sector to put forth in improving the quality of law construction and perfecting the legal system. The first central task of the Sector is to chair and coordinate with other Ministries and Sectors in helping Government prepare and submit the draft laws to National Assembly  and strengthen the quality of assessing the legal normative documents. Along with promoting the administrative and judicial reforms as well as effect of the legal implementation, the Sector needs to consolidate and improve its organisational status. The education, fostering and improving the quality of the sector’s staff should also  considered as other main focuses.

On behalf of the Party and State, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung handed over the Gold Star Order to Justice Sector. This was an honourable award for outstanding contributions of Justice Sector’s collectives and individuals  to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation./. -ITD
