On November 12, Minister Ha Hung Cuong received Mr Jean Paul Decorps, President of the International Union of Notaries(UINL), who is leading a delegation of the Superior Council of French Notary (SCFN) to attend the first meeting on cooperation between Vietnamese localities and French notaries jointly held by the Ministry of Justice and the SCFN in Hanoi .
At the meeting, two sides discussed matters relating to the process of Vietnam’s admission to the UINL and the development of the profession notary in Vietnam.
The Minister said that there are now four notary associations in Vietnam and the Scheme on formulation of the master plan for development of notarization practicing organizations in Vietnam through 2020 was submitted to Prime Minister and hoped to be soon approved. He also introduced the orientations and viewpoints to perfect the institutions in the development of the profession notary in Vietnam in the coming time. He noted that Ministry of Justice will prepare all the necessary procedures for Vietnam to join UINL in the coming time.
As for his part, Decorps asserted he will do his utmost to promote notary co-operation with Vietnam and accelerate the process of Vietnam’s admission to the UINL.
