At the meeting, Deputy Minister Dinh Trung Tung warmly welcomed the delegation from Lao Ministry of Justice and wished the delegation a successful and effective working trip on building and implementing the Law on promulgation of legal normative documents.
He said that the Law on promulgation of legal normative documents play an important role in Vietnam’s legal system. The Law on Promulgation of legal documents first came into force in 1996 and was amended and supplemented in 2002; it was then replaced by Law on legal normative document promulgation 2008. Thanks to this law, the process of building and perfecting Vietnam’s legal system has been accelerated; the current legal system is now relatively complete and comprehensively covers all main aspects fields of social life.
Thereby, the Deputy Minister also mentioned the role of Ministry of Justice as an agency that both helps the Government manage the legal system (ensuring the constitutionality, legality and consistence of legal documents in the legal system) and assists the Government to plan long-term, five-year and annual legal development strategies, programs and plans.
Mr. Ket Kiettisak gave thanks to the warm welcome of Vietnam’s Ministry of Justice and the Deputy Minister Dinh Trung Tung’s sharing. He wished to learn experiences from Vietnam Ministry of Justice on building and perfecting the legal system as well as the Law on Legal normative document promulgation. He also sent greetings to Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong and all leaders, staff of the Ministry.
The delegation then had a working session with the Department of General Affairs on Legislative Development and the Department of Criminal and Administrative Legislation under Ministry of Justice./.-ITD
