The meeting explored issues of concrete linkages between reparations and development, securing gender transformative reparations, and the role of the UN and other actors in supporting comprehensive reparations programmes. The report also provides concrete recommendations on policy, conceptual and programming issues related to reparations and development.
UNDP and UN Women will now work to take forward the recommendations of the meeting, in particular engaging donors, states, and development actors on piloting those recommendations that will contribute to the implementation of comprehensive, transformative and gender just reparations.
