Bilateral talks between the Minister Justice of Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka

Vietnamese Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Justice Minister Abdul Rauff Hakeem on April 22 had a meeting to discuss the prospects for cooperation in the field of law, justice and discuss the signing of Memorandum of cooperation between the Justice Ministries of two countries.

Earlier, at the intimate communication of Minister Abdul Rauff Hakeem, Minister Ha Hung Cuong expressed his pleasure to welcome Sri Lanka Justice Ministry delegation to visit and work in Vietnam. Noting the good relationship and traditional friendship between the two countries, He said that the Communist Party, Vietnamese government wishes to strengthen cooperation with Sri Lanka.

Attending at the meeting, the two ministers share information on the status of economic - social development of the two countries in 2012 and early 2013 as well as some of the highlights in the operation of the legal system and investment in each countries. Discussion of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam and Sri Lanka Ministry of Justice, both ministers agreed that this activity will create the legal basis for the first official bilateral cooperation between two Justice Departments.
