On July12, Ministry of Justice’s Scientific Council has held the first session with farewell ceremony for members of the scientific in term of 2004 - 2011, consolidating the Science Council's tenure from 2012 to 2016 and prepared for major directions and operational plans of the Science Council in coming time. Minister Ha Hung Cuong, Chairman of the Scientific Council chaired the meeting.
Science Council has unanimously elected Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien to permanent Vice President, Director of Institute of Legal Science, Le Hong Hanh to Vice President, Mr. Vo Dinh Toan to a legal secretary scientific term of 2012-2016. Having a report to expected plan activities of the Council later this year, Mr. Le Hong Hanh said that there had three sessions periodically would discuss the basics of the Criminal Code, Civil Code and review the results of working year. Also there will be some extraordinary session convened by the chairman or 2/3 members of the Board convened to request for comments on the pressing issues in the legislative activities of ministries and departments.
On the regular session, the Minister said that organize the second meeting to discuss the Criminal Code and Civil to timely provide a theoretical basis for the report to the Government if necessary. Minister endorsed the priority must be given to the Bill of large and sophisticated as well as some of the important industry issues such as Judiciary development strategy, which requires the participation of the Council. Parting with the old comrades in Science Council, the Minister gave thanks for their contribution to the overall operation of the scientific council term 2004-2011.
