Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong paid a working visit to Ho Chi Minh City
On his working visit to Ho Chi Minh City, on 22 January, Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong paid a working visit to the Department of Civil Judgment Enforcement and Justice Ministry’s representative office.

Reporting to Justice Minister about changes that the Department of Civil Judgment Enforcement has gained during the stage 2007-2010, Mr Nguyen Van Luc, Director of department of civil judgement enforcement, said that this was the stage when the civil judgement enforcement has gained positive changes as well as notable results. The department has settled 171 thousand cases and collected VND 7.224 billion. The number of remaining cases has decreased annually, from 54.333 cases in 2006 to 35.764 cases in 2010. The department has also coordinated with relating agencies to solve difficulties during the process of judgement enforcement. Minister Ha Hung Cuong highly hailed the significant achievements of the department. He also emphasized that department’s staff needed to make more efforts to reduce the number of remaining judgements to the lowest level.

Minister Ha Hung Cuong then visited Ministry’s representative office in Hochiminh city. At the working session, Mr Nguyen Thai Phuc, Director of Ministry’s Representative Office said that 2010 was the year when the Representative Office has gained positive results in various fields such as: recruiting new staff, receiving citizens, recommending opinions to draft reports of the People’s Committee, enhancing the international cooperation… The Representative Office also helped to expand the relations and influences of Justice Ministry to the local authorities, representatives of other Ministries and sectors in Hochiminh city, the local departments of justice and civil judgment enforcement.

Justice Minister was glad to see that the representative office has implemented lots of tasks corresponding to its position. He emphasized that the representative office had to improve its competence, position and image not only in the sector but also to citizens.
