Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong: Hoping to see the image of Justice Sector in Dien Bien's socio-economic development achievements.
On 8 December 2010, Ministry of Justice’s working delegation led by Minister Ha Hung Cuong had a working session with leaders of Dien Bien provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee and People’s Council on the judicial work and civil judgment enforcement in 2010.

At the meeting, both Mr Nguyen Thanh Tung, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and Ms Giang Thi Hoa,Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, highly appreciated the contributions of judicial sector to the social and economic development in the mountainous province with 21 ethnic groups.

Mr Le Dinh Thu, Director of the provincial Justice Department, said 2010 was the first year when the Justice Department was assigned lots of significant tasks by the provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee and People’s Council. Besides, the other tasks relating to the justice sector (sector’s building, assessing and examination of the legal normative documents, the legal implementation, judicial administration, registration of secured transaction, judicial support, legal aid, legal dissemination and education) also get progress and fulfill the whole year’s plan. However, the sector also met lots of difficulties such as: the lack of the judicial staff (both in quantity and in quality) and the low legal awareness of the people, he noted.

Meanwhile, Mr Luong Van Suong, director of the civil judgement enforcement department, affirmed his department, in 2010, performed the advisory function to the provincial People’s Committee in approving the Central Task Program on civil judgement enforcement in Dien Bien. The department also successfully accomplished this year’s tasks.

Addressing at the meeting, Minister Ha Hung Cuong was glad to witness Dien Bien’s prosperity in various areas, including the progresses of the Justice Sector and civill judgement enforcement sector. The Minister noted that the two sectors couldn’t achieve their success without the support from the courts, policemen, the procuracy, financial sectors… He expressed the hope that leaders of Dien Bien provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee and People’s Council and other sectors would continue to support justice sector and civil judgement enforcement sector in implementing their tasks. In the coming time, the foundation of Son La law junior college will solve the difficulties of the human resources for Dien Bien province./. -ITD
