Fees for the grant, renewal, re-grant of new Identity Card

From November 05, 2012, fee for Vietnamese citizens 14 years of age or older procedures to grant, renewal, re-grant of new Identity Card are from 20,000 to 70,000 VND contracts under the provisions of Circular No.155/2012/TT-BTC newly issued by the Ministry of Finance. Citizens residing in the township mountainous; border communes; island districts pay a fee for a new identity card with 50% of the rate specified above.

In addition to the above cases, the Circular stipulates a case of non-payment of fees, including citizen are father, mother, husband, wife, child under 18 years old of martyrs; invalids beneficiaries of policies as invalids; children under 18 years old of war invalids and policy effects as invalids; sick soldiers; citizens of the township high areas according to the national regulations of the Commission; citizens of poor households in accordance with the law; citizens under 18, orphaned by both parents, helpless; case granted new ID card by the State to change the administrative boundaries.

The issuance of new identity card was officially deployed in Hoang Mai, Tay Ho and Tu Liem district (Ha Noi) in three months prior to deployment in other areas as prescribed. Circular No.155/2012/TT-BTC also stipulated that where no conditions for deploying new identity card shall continue to perform the charge, remittance, management and use of identity card fee population according to current regulations.
