NA lawmakers to fine-tune eight bills

Lawmakers will be putting the final touches to eight bills during the 35th working session of the National Assembly Standing Committee, which begins today.

Legislators will be fine-tuning the Law on Consumer Rights Protection, the Law on Environmental Protection Tax, the Mineral Law, the amended Inspection Law, the Law on Public Servants, the amended Law on Co-operatives, the Law on Archives and the Code of Administrative Procedures.

The bills will later be discussed at the eighth session of the 12th National Assembly next month.

During the 35th working session, which wraps up next Tuesday, committee members will look into the national socio-economic development plan, the 2010 State Budget Forecast and reports on the implementation of administrative reforms.

The committee will also debate reports by the Government and agencies on the settlements of public complaints and denunciations in 2010, the 2011 schedule for the National Assembly supervision programme, the operation of the People's Supreme Court, and the People's Supreme Procuracy in 2010; as well as crime prevention and anti-corruption measures. — VNS
