Based on analysis and assessment of the practice of implementation of Circular No. 08/2011/TT-BTP, especially its difficulties, shortcomings and challenges of those who are responsible for preparation of statistical reports in Justice Sector (focusing on district and communal People’s Committees), and based on analysis of main contents of the draft Manual, the workshop aims to seek suitable solutions to improve the Manual’s contents in order to make it an effective and useful tool for statistical subjects (first of all for officials of judicial divisions, judicial officials in charge of civil status at commune level). It is to support those officials to better prepare their statistical report on judicial works, and thus improve the quality of Justice Sector statistics in the coming time.
The workshop focused on discussion of the Manual’s structure, main contents (including: basic issues of statistics; laws on statistics which statiscal officials should be aware of; common skills in data collection and analysis, preparation of reports; those common skills in each specific field under responsibilities of district and communal People’s Committees; recommendations to improve the Manual’s contents in order to ensure its scientific, rational and feasible manner as well as to meet requirements of development of Justice Sector statistics in the future; and other recommendations related to renovation and improvement of the quality and efficiency of statistics of the Ministry of Justice and Justice Sector) and other relevant issues./.
