The first Forum on Legal policy dialogue in 2013: criminal law in the international integration in Vietnam 03/09/2013

Within the scope of the Project strengthening access to justice and protection of rights in Vietnam between Vietnam and UNDP, on August 29, Ministry of Justice held the first Forum on Legal policy dialogue in 2013 focusing on the contents of criminal law in Vietnam and requirements in the period of comprehensive integration.

State President Truong Tan Sang, Head of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform, on July 31 worked with the Party Affairs Committee of the Ministry of Justice to review the implementation of the Party Politburo’s resolution on judicial reform (Resolution N.49). Preliminary Conference on three years implementation of the State Compensation Liability Law 29/05/2013

On May 28, the Ministry of Justice held a preliminary conference reviewing 03 years of implementation of the Law on State Compensation Liability. Attending at the meeting were Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong, Deputy Chairman of the Judiciary Committee under the National Assembly Le Thi Nga, Justice Deputy Minister Pham Quy Ty and representatives from central agencies, legal departments.

Seminar on French Constitutional Council 10/05/2013

Ministry of Justice on May 08 held the seminar sharing experience on French Constitutional Council. This was an event in the 2013 plan of the cooperation program between Ministry of Justice and French embassy. The first meeting of the steering committee for national legislative development project 07/05/2013

On May 6, Ministry of Justice in coordination with Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) held the first meeting of the steering committee for national legislative development project. Deputy Minister Dinh Trung Tung and Ms Victoria Sutherland, CIDA country director, co-chaired the meeting.

Seminar on organisational models of judicial agencies- international experience and proposals for Vietnam 04/05/2013

Ministry of Justice on May 3 held the seminar on organisational models of judicial agencies- international experience and proposals for Vietnam. This is an activity planned in the 2013 action plan of the justice partnership program (JPP) funded by EU, Denmark and Sweden. Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien and Mr Bryan Fornani, Head of economic cooperation and governance section under EU delegation in Vietnam, co-chaired the seminar.
