The code, which contains 8,489 valid legal documents, serves as a free reference for agencies, organizations, and individuals. These legal documents have been collected and classified into 45 sections in logical and scientific order. Users can freely access to the Code at the Ministry of Justice's website: phapdien.moj.gov.vn.
The valid legal documents include 290 issued by the National Assembly, 82 by the National Assembly Standing Committee, 1,365 by the Government, 596 by the Prime Minister and 6,156 by ministries and sectors
Basically, the Code has a reasonable, scientific structure; the clear notes and instructions makes it easy and convenient to look up and search for legal regulations. Initially, the Code has been positively received, exploited and used by society. Up to now, there have been nearly 2 million visits to the website, an average of nearly 5 thousand visits per day.
Addressing at the launching ceremony, Justice Minister Nguyen Hai Ninh emphasized the importance of the codification to ensuring the openness, transparency and accessibility.
He called on ministries, agencies, and localities to join hands to strengthen the effectiveness of State management in the codification of legal normative documents and utilize information-technology in the work.
